When the Israelites left Egypt, God first revealed the power of the Passover,
and proclaimed the Passover through the Law of Moses,
commanding them to keep it for generations to come at the appointed time.
Later, God’s people were praised and protected from disasters after keeping the Passover,
and Jesus also kept the Passover with His disciples, granting them the blessing of eternal life.
Since the Passover was abolished in AD 325,
all the churches have been observing the customs of a pagan god.
However, the members of the Church of God realize the importance of the Passover,
which God commanded His people to celebrate for the generations to come,
through the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother, and observe it.
The king gave this order to all the people: “Celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God,
as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.” . . . Neither before nor after Josiah
was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did—with all his heart
and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
2 Kings 23:21–25
He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him,
‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near.
I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ”
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
