The Reason Why Mankind Must Keep God’s Commandments

King Solomon said that fearing God is the whole duty of all mankind,
and Jesus stated that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart and mind.
He established the law of the new covenant, saying that love is the fulfillment of the law.

The Members of the Church of God Fear God and Keep His Commandments

God was crucified on the cross because He loved mankind so much.
All the animals that were sacrificed according to the Old Testament law symbolize God,
ultimately testifying to how Christ Ahnsahnghong and our Heavenly Mother,
who have come in the age of the Holy Spirit, would establish the new covenant,
including the Sabbath day and the Passover, for the salvation of mankind.

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
Ecclesiastes 12:13

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—
“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:1–3
