ASEZ Saves the Forest With Music

Music connects people who are from different countries, languages, and cultures. The UNCCD and the Korea Forest Service co-hosted a virtual choir competition to raise public awareness of the importance of the land and forest.

ASEZ presented its song, “Into the Forest” and urged university students and citizens around the world to protect forests. ASEZ won first place among all the entries in the world and received the UNCCD Executive Secretary’s Award.

Protecting forests is protecting our future.

United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification The UN Convention to Combat Desertification was established to prevent global desertification and improve the capacity of countries affected by desertification. It is one of the three major environmental conventions of the United Nations along with the UNFCCC and the CBD. 197 member states are currently registered.
