ASEZ Hosts New York State Citizen Preparedness Training for Disaster Relief at Lehman College

ASEZ (Save the Earth from A to Z) university student volunteers hosted the New York State Citizen Preparedness Training for Disaster Relief on November 18, 2018 at Lehman College in the Bronx.

Sponsored by the State of New York, the disaster preparedness program teaches citizens how to take action during a disaster or emergency and keep themselves and those close to them safe. Over 300 people attended the event, including ASEZ student volunteers, their classmates, professors, and local community leaders.

National Guard members, the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and medical professionals each delivered presentations as part of the training. After completing the training, all participants received certificates of completion and emergency backpack kits.
