In the Bible, death does not mean the extinction of the body and the spirit, but the separation of the spirit from the body. As it is written:
『. . . and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.』Ecc 12:7
『“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.”』Mt 10:28
